In 1974, the Old Clinton Historic District in Jones County, Georgia, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. That same year, the Old Clinton Historical Society (OCHS), a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, was formed with the mission to 1) acquire, hold, improve, develop, and restore sites and structures of historical, archeological, or architectural interest in Old Clinton, and 2) increase and diffuse knowledge and greater appreciation of such sites and structures.
